Lake Moraine, Alberta, Canada

We purchased a "Class B" motor home in 2013. It was used. A chiropractor in Tennessee sold it to us and it was a good RV.

We camped one or two nights in a local campground. And we learned a few things. A few days later we started for Alaska.

One of the prettiest stretches of road was the highway through Banff National Park, the city of Banff, Lake Louise and the lake shown here which is Moraine Lake.

In May of 2013 we could drive up to the lake. There were very few people in the parking lot. It was early enough in the season we missed the big crowds.

The site was awe inspiring. The mountains lined up in a curved row and the snow and clouds engulfed them.

We went again about five weeks later in the year of 2017 (late June, I think) and we could not get into the parking lot. We couldn't even get down the road toward the lake.

Sometimes you think that what you are experiencing is normal. Like driving up to this lake. And later you find it was a unique thing.
