We bring good things to... nobody

 .. .----. -- ....... -. --- - ....... --. --- .. -. --. ....... - --- ....... -- .- -.- . ....... .. - .-.-.-

So you know how it is.

Somethings broke and it needs repaired.

Or they are coming to put in the cable.

Or the internet thingy.

You are to wait. You the customer are required to wait. You are not important. The vendor is important.

It's not a game, but it's a game.

You need to be home between the hours of 9 and 12. Or 1 to 5. Brain surgery takes less time. Flights across the country take about this length of time.

But you want internet and without those boxes and wires you won't get it. In our case we wanted a dryer repaired.

Its a new dryer. It has one function and it isn't doing that one simple thing. The Amish ladies in these parts use the wind outside. We "English" use electricity and these drying machines, until we don't.

The Amish way is simple. The English way is not.

So we were to wait between the hours of (drum roll) 8 to 5. That is AM to PM. That is about 9 hours. You can fly from Chicago to Paris France in less time.

We got up in the morning and got ready for the repair guy. Breakfast eaten. Beds made. Showers taken.

He didn't come.

We had to take turns being gone to do chores.

He didn't come.

He never came.

No call.

No smoke signals.

No morse code. (At the top of the page is Morse Code for "I'm not going to make it.")

So now what?

What do you suggest?
