There used to be a tree.
It was my favorite tree. Doesn't everyone have a favorite tree? It was very near an Amish farmhouse. I would stop and take a picture of my favorite tree from time to time and I wondered what the Amish people thought of that old man with the camera taking a picture of their tree every few weeks.
The tree was beautiful. And then it wasn't.
One day I drove by and they were cutting it for firewood.
The pictures below show you my favorited old building. I stop and take it's picture from time to time. There is an amish farm across the road. I imagine there are a lot of people who stop to take pictures. I don't think they probably think much about an old man doing the same.
Can you see changes in the abandon school?
Do you wonder why they voices of Amish children in the school were halted? We have lots of Amish schools in the area, but this one is unused. Someone tries to keep boards on the openings. Or at least they did.
Do you think it will be like the favorite tree? One day it won't be there? I hope not, but nothing lasts forever here on earth.
This building is in the countryside of LaGrange County, Indiana.
Including the image above these images span about 18 years.
